Buhari Confers GCFR, GCON Titles On Tinubu, Shettima-JAGABANBLOG   The investiture which took place at the State House Conference Center in Abuja, is part of a series of events lined up for the May 29 inauguration. President Muhammadu Buhari has conferred National Honours on president-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima. Tinubu and Shettima were conferred with the National Honours of Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR) and Grand Commander of the Order of Niger (GCON). The investiture which took place at the State House Conference Center in Abuja, is part of a series of events lined up for the May 29 inauguration ceremony. Expected also to happen today is an official handover of Transition Documents to the incoming Administration, a process that some believe will be the most organized and seamless Presidential Transition in the history of Nigeria, enabled by Executive Order 14 signed by President Buhari. END OF THE ROAD: More Trouble For Obaseki As 42 Aides Resign Ahead Of Guber Polls (Full List) Speculations continue to rise that more appointees of Edo State Governor,  Godwin Obaseki  will resign and support another candidate ahead of the governorship election in the state. So far,  Naija News  has observed that most of those to have resigned are pitching their tents with the  All Progressives Congress  (APC). It will be recalled that Obaseki himself was an APC member until he defected to the  Peoples Democratic Party  (PDP) after he was denied the APC governorship ticket for the state which was later won by  Osagie Ize-Iyamu . After his defection, some of his appointees have refused to follow him to the PDP and are instead, resigning and declaring support for the APC in the September 19 governorship polls as scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Atiku, Saraki Declare Position  On Returning To APC - JAGABAN BLOG The camps of former Vice President  Atiku Abubakar  and ex-Senate President  Bukola Saraki  have declared that their principals are not thinking of returning to the  All Progressives Congress  (APC). Same goes for the camp of former Kano State governor,  Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso . They also described the APC as a sinking ship that is on a downward journey and not attractive to anybody. 2023: Why No APC Member Should Attempt To Stop Tinubu’s Presidential Ambition – Lawal - JAGABAN BLOG Babachir Lawal,  former secretary to the government of the federation (SGF), has blasted any member of the ruling  All Progressives Congress (APC)  who is nursing the intention of stopping  Bola Tinubu , a national leader of the party, from contesting the presidency in 2023. Rumours have been flying around that Tinubu has plans to run for presidency in 2023, even though he hasn’t confirmed it.
