Buhari Confers GCFR, GCON Titles On Tinubu, Shettima-JAGABANBLOG   The investiture which took place at the State House Conference Center in Abuja, is part of a series of events lined up for the May 29 inauguration. President Muhammadu Buhari has conferred National Honours on president-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima. BREAKING: Gbajabiamila Gives Akpabio 48 Hours Ultimatum To Name Lawmakers Who Got Contract From NDDC Speaker of the Nigeria's House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has given Godswill Akpabio, Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, a 48-hour ultimatum to name lawmakers that received contracts from the Niger Delta Development Commission. Akpabio, while  appearing before the House Committee  probing financial misappropriation in the NDDC on Monday, revealed that over 60 per cent of contracts in the agency go to lawmakers. While speaking at the floor of the House on Tuesday, Gbajabiamila chided Akpabio, saying he came to deceive the lawmakers. Gbajabiamila noted that Akpabio must reveal the names of the lawmaker within 48-hours or risk the wrath of the House. He said, “I am giving the minister 24 to 48 hours to publish the names, the contracts, the companies, date, amount and the projects. “Failing which, this house will bring the full wrath of the house on him.

Outrage as NDDC boss faints at House hearing - JAGABAN BLOG Nigerians have criticised the acting Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission, Prof Kemebradikumo Pondei, for collapsing during a House of Representatives Committee hearing. The PUNCH  had earlier reported that Pondei fainted on Monday while he was being grilled by lawmakers investigating mismanagement of funds up to the tune of N81.5 bn in the NDDC. However, some were of the view that there should be room for compassion as health challenges were unforeseen, noting that anyone could be in a similar circumstance as Pondei. Abiola Ajimobi, as the best and most productive governor of the state. The All Progressives Congress (APC) leader, in a condolence message in Lagos on Thursday, noted that Ajimobi was reputed to be the best and most productive governor Oyo State has had. “In this assessment, I concur as do so many others. “The numerous infrastructural and public works projects he initiated literally changed the face of Oyo State for the better. “He broke a political jinx that many said could not be broken as the first governor to serve two consecutive terms in Oyo State. “His legacy as a governor will be an enduring and positive one,” Tinubu said.
